Sapiosexual is a neologism referring to the belief that the most important facet of a person's sexual attractiveness is their intelligence, rather than any physical attribute including gender. The word is a compound of sapio, from the Latin 'sapere': to discern, be sensible, be wise, intelligent and sexual.
